Frozen Shoulder
Frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis) is a condition characterised by progressive pain and significant stiffness in the shoulder joint, often developing gradually without a clear injury. It commonly affects people between 40–60 years of age and can significantly limit daily activities.
At The Physio Group, we provide structured physiotherapy management throughout each stage of frozen shoulder recovery. Symptoms typically progress through painful, stiff, and recovery phases, requiring careful treatment planning.
Our physiotherapists assess joint mobility, pain levels, and functional limitations to guide treatment appropriately. Physiotherapy may include gentle hands-on mobilisation, guided exercises, and education to maintain movement while reducing irritation.
Using our Reduce, Restore, Return pathway, treatment focuses on managing pain, restoring shoulder mobility, and gradually rebuilding strength and function. Early guidance and reassurance are key to improving recovery and preventing long-term stiffness.
