Frequently Asked Questions
When should I see a physiotherapist?
You should consider seeing a physiotherapist if you are experiencing pain, stiffness, weakness, or difficulty with movement that is affecting your sport, work, or everyday activities. Early assessment can often prevent problems becoming long-term and helps you recover more quickly.
Physiotherapy can help with back and neck pain, sports injuries, joint and muscle problems, post-operative recovery, and recurring injuries. You do not need a GP referral before booking an assessment.
What does a physiotherapy session involve?
Your appointment will include:
- Detailed history taking
- Clinical assessment
- Diagnosis and explanation of your condition
- Hands-on treatment where appropriate
- Personalised home exercise programme and education
- A clear plan to guide your recovery journey

What results can I expect from physiotherapy?
Our aim is to help you reduce pain, restore movement, and return to the activities that matter to you as quickly and safely as possible. Every patient is different, but we combine hands-on treatment, targeted rehabilitation, and education to support long-term recovery — not just short-term symptom relief.
Do I need a GP or consultant referral?
No referral is required. You can book directly with our physiotherapists. Many patients choose physiotherapy as their first step in managing pain or injury.
Do you accept private health insurance?
Yes. We are registered with all major private medical insurance (PMI) companies and intermediaries. Please ensure you have your authorisation details before attending your appointment.
How much is a session?
All appointments last 40 minutes.
- £60 – Advanced MSK Practitioner
- £55 – Associate Physiotherapist
Do I need to bring anything with me?
- If you have had scans or consultant reviews, please bring any reports with you.
- For lower body injuries, we recommend bringing shorts.
- For upper body assessments, women may find a vest top helpful.
