Meniscal Injuries
Meniscal injuries involve damage to the cartilage within the knee joint and commonly occur during twisting or pivoting movements in sport, or through gradual wear over time. Symptoms may include joint line pain, swelling, stiffness, clicking, or difficulty fully bending or straightening the knee.
At The Physio Group, we provide expert assessment to determine the severity and functional impact of a meniscal injury. Many cases respond very well to structured physiotherapy and do not require surgery.
Treatment focuses on reducing irritation, restoring movement, and improving muscle strength to support the knee joint. Rehabilitation may include hands-on therapy, controlled strengthening, balance training, and progressive return-to-activity exercises.
Following our Reduce, Restore, Return approach, we guide patients safely back to normal movement and sport while improving knee stability and long-term joint health.
