Muscle Strains

Muscle strains are one of the most common sports injuries, occurring when muscle fibres are overstretched or overloaded during running, sprinting, lifting, or sudden changes in direction. Symptoms may include sudden pain, tightness, weakness, swelling, or difficulty continuing activity. Commonly affected areas include the hamstring, calf, quadriceps, and groin muscles. Without proper rehabilitation, muscle strains can recur and lead to prolonged time away from sport.
