The Physio Group – Newry was the first clinic in our practice opened in 2005 and is now one of the leading Physiotherapy  clinics in the city. Located on 37 Kilmorey Street, just off the Dublin Rd.

It is building dedicated purely to musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. We have 4 spacious treatment rooms, a comfortable reception area and rehabilitative equipment in all the rooms so we can carry out gait analysis and functional movement assessment if needed.

There is ample free parking on street locally or in several car parks in close proximity.
Our Newry clinic offers a wide array of appointment slots to cater for the needs of our clients. We are open early every morning, and have evening appointment slots Monday through to Thursday. We also provide Saturday morning appointments up to 1pm.

The reception is manned by our very efficient and friendly admin team who are happy to answer any queries. They can provide receipts on request and handle all bookings.

Our Newry clients are wide ranging from high level GAA players, to Ironmen, and Newry RAS cyclists. We provide in-depth knowledge of SPORTS MEDICINE issues. As well as providing MOBILISATION techniques to our many spinal clients.


Can I use my Private Health Insurance for my Physiotherapy treatment in the Newry Clinic?

Yes, we are registered with all major insurance companies such as; Bupa, WPA, Aviva, Axa, Benenden and Simply Health. We are also registered with all major insurance intermediary companies which represent many of these insurance companies such as; Nuffield Health, Rehab Works and HCML / Episource.

Each insurance company has a different protocol for referral to physiotherapy, some require GP referral others telephone triage. For any queries regarding the process of accessing your insurance to attend our Belfast City Centre practice please call our main office on 028302 69733, our office staff can also provide you with our provider numbers if needed.

Do you provide Pilates classes in Newry?

Currently we don’t have classes running however our Pilates instructors offer 1-1 or small group sessions on a sessional basis.

What are your Newry Physio opening hours?

Currently we provide physiotherapy clinics :

Monday – 8am till 7:40pm

Tuesday – 8am till 7:40pm

Wednesday – 7:20am till 7:40pm

Thursday – 8am till 7:40pm

Friday – 7:20am till 5:40pm

Saturday – 8:40am till 1pm

How long does a treatment session last?

Each treatment session whether initial assessment or review lasts up to 40minutes.

What can I expect from my first Physiotherapy session?

Our Chartered Physiotherapists will take you through a full history to understand the problem and then after an examination will provide a diagnosis, prognosis and timescale of recovery. If it is a leg complaint it is advisable to bring shorts and for females with neck/ shoulder issues a vest top. We will always provide some hands on treatment and home exercises on the initial visit.
